Water Bodies in & out

Audiovisual installation, talks & performances at HiFlow, Geneva
3 video screens, 5 spatialized audio tracks, lights, carpet, pouffe cushions and other recycled elements, 2025

This immersive installation is designed as a space for exchanges and collective activation of this transdisciplinary and collaborative research conducted over several years on water as a living entity, a vehicle for narrative, resistance, and interconnection. A series of actions and encounters are activated there, based on work carried out over several years in Andean and Alpine contexts, involving a series of collaborative video shoots with artists and architects (Iván Cáceres, Colectivo Audiovisual Mujeres Espiral), researchers (Violeta Yajaira, Collectif Hydromondes), performers (Athéna Gaëlle Ylween, Maria Maria) and local healers (Munaya T’ika, Julie Pervangher, Churla).

The mutating voices, figures and anthropogenic landscapes composing the audiovisual installation and the performances, invites us to reflect through our bodies on the universality of water-related issues, highlighting both local specificities and global systemic issues, which are undergoing rapid change, while emphasizing their roots in situated, multiple, interconnected perspectives.
Like porous membranes, the boundaries between the sources of this research, which emanate from the scientific, poetic, and political fields, dissolve, giving shape to a hybrid organism—digital, organic, and polyphonic—haunted by a multitude of voices, gazes, and aquatic memories.
